A banqueting table

A banqueting table

I woke up from my nap with a start. I was having an amazing dream. The Holy One was showing me a huge banquet hall. On each table there were piles of every imaginable food. Fruits, vegetables, prepared dishes, all unlimited and all prepared for me.

As I took in the beautiful array of their colors, shapes, and sizes, I heard Him explain what I was seeing.

I have prepared everything you need for today and everyday. There is no lack.

He was showing me visually that Provision had been made. He was giving me a heads up. It was an opportunity to prepare my response to circumstances that would test His Provision promise. Game on.

Since Jeff’s progression, I have had to make some life altering decisions. One of them being to cut back my work schedule to better provide for his requirements. Easy choice, I know. But a choice that none the less, affects our ability to maintain our independence. Or does it? (Remember the dream?)

There is a bigger picture for us to see, and we can't always view it from our current position.

And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.  Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
The LORD mighty in battle.

PS 24:7-8

When we get Divine insights (like the banquet table vision) we have the opportunity to step up to a higher vantage point where we see things, respond to things, and anticipate things differently! The higher the vantage point, the sooner we can see what's coming.

Gratitude begins before the provision arrives.

I have never been more active in my anticipation. Not because I am grabbing for more, but because HE showed me that HE has a plan. And I can't wait to participate in that plan with Him! His Love for us is greater than we can even begin to understand. His love for you is unending and forever life changing.

The Shulamite to the Daughters of Jerusalem:
He brought me to the banqueting house, And his banner over me was love.   הֱבִיאַנִי אֶל־בֵּית הַיָּיִן וְדִגְלֹו עָלַי אַהֲבָֽה׃ Song of Songs 3:5
